October is National Tyre Safety Month, run by the charity TyreSafe, and this year’s theme is ‘Tyre Safety Checks: What’s stopping you?’

Awareness-raising activities are being run all over the country by emergency services, road safety groups, the tyre industry and major businesses.

About Stuart Lovatt

Stuart Lovatt is the new Chairman of TyreSafe, having just been appoointed on 1st September 2022. He has worked closely with TyreSafe since 2006 as part of his previous role as Strategic Road Safety Lead at National Highways, Stuart will be increasing the focus on how TyreSafe can grow its presence among road safety and road risk management stakeholders.

This presentation will cover the work TyreSafe does to reduce the number of tyre-related incidents on Britain’s roads through raising awareness of the importance of tyre maintenance and the dangers of defective and illegal tyres.

Stuart will also talk through this year’s campaign messages and show how you can get involved using the vast array of freely available, professionally produced resources to share with drivers.
